Craig Edgington is an attorney at Watson Burns, PLLC. Mr. Edgington fights to uphold the rights of his clients guaranteed under the United States Constitution, primarily through litigation under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983. His areas of practice primarily focus on the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments, especially as they relate to due process, jail and prison conditions and medical care, police misconduct, and representing children in suits for civil rights violations in the educational sphere.
Military Service:
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Edgington served in the military from 2004 until 2015. While in the Army, Mr. Edgington deployed to Kuwait from 2009 until 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a Patriot Launching Station Enhanced Operator Maintainer with the 1st Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery. During his service in the Army, he took on additional duties as an Equal Opportunity Leader and a Sexual Harassment/Assault Program Victim Advocate.
After his deployment Mr. Edgington was transferred to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and served with the 1st Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery first as a Platoon Sergeant, then as the Battalion Intelligence Sergeant, and finally as a Battalion Operations Sergeant. Mr. Edgington continued his additional duties and became both the Battalion Equal Opportunity Program Director and Sexual Harassment/Assault Response Program Director responsible for the training and program oversight of over six hundred individuals. Through these duties, Mr. Edgington learned the value of advocacy and conducting thorough investigations.
Inspired by these experiences, Mr. Edgington finished his undergraduate degree, and left the military to attend Cecil Humphreys School of Law, where he externed at the Federal Public Defender’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee.
Education:
Mr. Edgington graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Political Science from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina and earned his Juris Doctor from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.

Mr. Edgington is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts of Tennessee; admitted in the United States Courts for the District of Colorado, the Southern District of Illinois, and the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas; admitted in the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth, Eighth, Tenth, and Eleventh Circuits; and admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Following four years of practice with Mr. Timmons at the Donati Law Firm, Mr. Edgington and Mr. Timmons formed a partnership and transferred their practice group to Watson Burns, PLLC.
